One problem with the Dance like you Want to Win costumes is that so many things in that episode are just plain messed up and inconsistent animation (The Shinji mug, the length of Asuka’s hair, color mixups, etc… Oh, Gainax…)
So when making the music notes for the shirts, the color changes back and forth a lot. So does the color of Asuka’s leotard.
What does this mean?
I had to study episode 9 frame-by-frame off and on these past few hours just to make sure. To make a simple music note design that should have really taken less than 4 hours under the hands of someone not scatterbrained and who is actually skilled.

Here is Shinji’s pattern: (spaced close together, but can be cut apart for ironing on. I’d also suggest to flip the image to the direction in the above picture, so when ironed on it’s not backwards like in the mirror.)
Asuka’s is identical, only redder, and better (Because Asuka automatically wins by default.)
It’s not like the colors remind me of Lupin the Third jackets or anything, s-stupid…
I guess you can use them if you want (If you blow them up too big they probably won’t look too good) but yeah, these are what Tara and I are going to use on our elite pilot leotards.
It would be cool if there was a Gendo cosplayer with a little Adam embryo in his hand made by awesome stage makeup
